Clinical Animal Behaviorist

MSc CAB, CBCC-KA, KPA CTP

I’m a passionate animal advocate and behavior specialist, and I am committed to a positive reinforcement training approach. I have earned a Master’s of Science in Clinical Animal Behavior from University of Edinburgh. I am also a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine-Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA) and a Certified Training Partner through Karen Pryor Academy (KPA CTP). Most of all, I am a lifelong learner, focused on staying current with the latest science and research in the animal behavior field to benefit all animals.

I currently serve as a Senior Behavior Consultant at Humane Society of Boulder Valley, directly training shelter dogs in need of skills to help them be adopted.

I also volunteer with the behavior & enrichment program at Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary. Learn more about this innovative program for farm animals. I also volunteer offering training services to rescued dogs through the Humane Alliance of Rescue Trainers.

5% of profits each month will be donated to an organization that improves the welfare of animals, such as Boulder Humane or Luvin Arms.

I’m located in Boulder, Colorado, on the traditional territory of the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Ute peoples.

Compassion on Cue is a queer-owned business that operates as an inclusive space for LGBTQIA2S+ people and all historically marginalized communities.

Cheryl was absolutely amazing to work with. She not only took the time to get to know Nala, but also our family and seek to understand all of the dynamics that may have an impact on behavior. She was so sweet with Nala who absolutely adores her. We saw real changes in Nala's behavior and she was also less anxious overall.
